ForIndex 2.1 is a central document registry ("index") in which the availability of clinical information is registered. It contains an overview of available documents by patient. ForIndex 2.1 is fully IHE XDS compliant and has proven and published connectivity with third-party products as an IHE XDS document registry actor.

ForIndex 2.1 is a modular component and can be deployed indepently or in combination with other XDS-compliant products from Forcare. ForIndex 2.1 flexibility enables configurations with multiple document repositories and consumers.

Administration and configuration is performed via a web-based admin tool, which works for single node installations as well as clustered configurations.
